Peacemeal has been inspired by contemporary communities as well as ancient monastic orders that encourage people to share common practices as a way of deepening their individual and collective journeys of faith. These practices shape us as a set-apart people within our culture so that we may live out the two great commandments: to love God and love our neighbor. We invite those in our community to commit to a rhythm of:
- simplicity – through simple, eco-friendly living and generous giving
- community – through sharing meals and sharing possessions
- prayer – through praying a common daily prayer, praying for each other, and gathering for weekly liturgy
Through these practices we hope to deepen our connection to one another, to God, and to the world we serve.
